Eight years ago as a candidate for Mesa County Clerk, I was confident that my years of experience working for attorneys and operating my own business would provide a solid background for running the Clerk's office. That proved to be true. In a very short time, the Mesa County Clerk & Recorder's Office was recognized as a leader in the State.
Now, with those same skills and eight years experience effectively managing the County Clerk's Office, I am confident I have a solid background to be your County Treasurer.
Currently, I oversee more than $36 million in revenues each year, ensuring that those funds are properly and legally disbursed. I also prepare budgets for each County Clerk department for a total of approximately $2.3 million. I am proud of the fact that even in these challenging times I've never gone over budget!
I don't gamble with my own money, and I sure won't gamble with your hard earned tax dollars. You can count on me to put the citizens of Mesa County first!
